**Spoilers** Steven Moffat Drops More Hints On Series 6

Lots of speculation for Doctor Who series six lies within this post, as Steven Moffat has been dropping massive hints about Amy Pond…

BE WARNED:
This story contains massive hints dropped by Steven Moffat that will cause lots of speculation. There's not an outright spoiler as such, but as usual, if you like to watch Doctor Who cold, then look away now...

Next year is shaping up to be one hell of a year for Doctor Who. The splitting of the sixth series of the show since its 2005 revival into two chunks is, as we know, going to be accompanied by a humdinger of a cliffhanger after episode seven (which is where the break is timed to fall, ahead of the final six episodes towards the end of 2011). And there might just have been a few clues as to what to expect coming from the man behind the show.

Seriously, if you don’t want potential spoilers – even though this is all speculation based on the words of Steven Moffat – then look away now.

The Moff has told Doctor Who Magazine that there is a massive, massive twist coming up in the next series of the show. And it’s all to do with Amy Pond.
Moffat declared that "The calamitous and, frankly, shocking events at the climax of episode seven will still be ringing in your ears when Doctor Who returns in the autumn for a further six episodes."
He continued, “You’ll see The Doctor’s life change forever. You will gasp at the true nature of his relationship with Amy and cry out in horror as Rory Williams stumbles to the brink of a tragic mistake.”

To reinforce the point, he added that “It is an enormous, game-changing cliffhanger for The Doctor, Amy and Rory. It’ll change everything for them.”

Let the speculation begin, then. The potential options, as we see them, and this is guesswork on our part, are that Amy is the daughter of the Doctor (even though she doesn’t look much like Georgia Moffett, but apparently there was a request – according to some – that the character of Jenny, aka ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’ not be killed off), or that there is some family relationship there?
Could, even, Amy be River Song in another guise? Could she be River's child? Could she have married the Doctor at some point? Could we find out why she is the person in the universe the Doctor apparently trusts the most (for Moffat also says that there is "The frankly appalling revelation concerning the one person in the universe the Doctor trusts the most", which we'd assume to be Amy. But we might be wrong).
Or heck, is she going to pull some Valeyard-esque stuff on us?

Right now, your guess is as good as ours. But it doesn’t half whet our appetite for the next series of the show…
